The US economy has come a long way in the past several years. And with gas prices lower than they’ve been in years it’s no wonder that consumers are ok now with spending a little extra money when they purchase a vehicle, be it on the brand or something with slightly lower fuel economy.

Why is this happening? It’s fairly simple really. The quality, safety, fuel economy, and overall value of Chevrolet’s latest models are winning over loyal customers and critics alike, as well as bringing older Chevrolet buyers back to the bowtie. Chevy now boasts fuel economy that is superior to similar models from Toyota, Honda and Nissan. Chevy also has five star safety ratings on most of these same models. And the quality is now world class. One thing we see consistently is customers who have switched to higher end luxury models after driving Chevrolets for years, only to come back to Chevrolet after just one vehicle!

Not only has the quality and range of options grew in recent years to be on the same level as many of the luxury brands out there, but in terms of maintenance cost, Chevrolet has a far lower cost of ownership in the maintenance department when compared to the likes of BMW or Mercedes. This is especially important to those who hold onto their vehicles for several years.

Recently we’ve watched as customers trade in their Porsche Carreras and Mercedes G-Wagons for Chevy models ranging from the Volt to the Tahoe.
