Today marks an epic day in the annals of United States Business history, as one of our national manufacturing powerhouses, General Motors Corporation, has filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy protection in Federal Court.

We have all heard the mainstream media reports, but I wanted to take a moment to express my family’s thanks for your support to our dealership over the past few months and, more importantly, over the past eighty-two years.  We have thoroughly enjoyed being an integral part of our local business community.  And today, I am pleased to assure you that we intend to be an integral part of the New General Motors that will emerge from bankruptcy stronger than ever.

IMPORTANT HUMMER ANNOUNCEMENT (JUNE 2, 2009) Mark LaNeve, GM North America Vice President, Vehicle Sales, Service and Marketing, and Jim Taylor, HUMMER CEO 06/02/2009 Dear HUMMER Dealer:  General Motors today announced that we have entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with a potential buyer for the HUMMER brand.   Together with GM, you have helped develop HUMMER into a globally recognized off-road brand and this proposed agreement will enable us to continue that growth, while providing the capital for future product investments to secure HUMMER’s position as a responsible, premium off-road vehicle brand.  Today’s announcement is great news for HUMMER’s current and future customers, dealers, suppliers and employees around the globe.
